Unfurnished Guide
A Follow Up Guide To Unfurnished Apartments.
As the name goes, the unfurnished apartments are ones that are empty and are given on rent. An unfurnished apartment will be unoccupied and given for a suitable tenant under the agreement that the tenant will bring his own furniture, appliances and other such requirements.
These unfurnished apartments are usually occupied by tenants who wish to live in that apartment for a long period of time. Maybe at least four to five years. Most families prefer shifting to an unfurnished apartment rather than a furnished one as they can install furniture accustomed to their requirement.
On the contrary, bachelors, students and tenants who wish to stay for a short period of time prefer furnished apartments as these will consist of their basic furniture and appliances like a fridge, stove, bed, cupboards etc.
When it comes to the cost related factors, an unfurnished apartment is cheaper than a furnished one. But one should keep in mind that while taking up an unfurnished apartment the tenant should bear all the expenses for furniture and appliances.
Usually, most landlords levy a higher initial deposit (also called down payment) for furnished apartments than for unfurnished apartments. This is because he is forced to trust the tenant on both his apartment as well as the furniture inside.
The major advantages of these unfurnished apartments is that the tenant can select the different kinds of furniture that pleases him the most rather than what is provided to him. Also the furniture that he purchases here can be carried along with him in case he plans to vacate the apartment or even sell that furniture to get back some money.
The tenant of an unfurnished apartment also has the liberty to plan out the interiors of the apartment according to his own will and wish.
Thus an unfurnished apartment is ideal for families and is in abundance in all major cities where moving in and out of houses has become inevitable and mundane. Also, they are necessary in today’s life as studies have proved that nearly four million people move to, from or within the United States each year.
